The Star Bunkhouse
The Star Bunkhouse in the village of Bwlch is an ideal base camp for exploring the Crickhowell area, the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons. You can expect a warm, comfortable stay in our family-run bunkhouse designed for all lovers of the great outdoors.
We have spacious bedrooms (including en-suite family room) homely lounge with wood burning stove, books and magazines, board games, free wifi, fully equipped self-catering kitchen, large dining tables, cosy snug with extra seating, plenty of hot showers, drying room, covered BBQ area with picnic benches, secure bike storage with e-bike charging points and our own carpark with EV charging point.
We can sleep up to 20 people in bunk beds spread over 6 bedrooms. We offer private bedrooms suitable for individuals, couples and small groups, or exclusive use for larger groups. We are dog friendly by arrangement.
The bunkhouse is situated alongside the Beacons Way long-distance footpath and we are across the road from the New Inn & Beacons Backpackers, popular with both locals and visitors, and well known for its excellent real ales, friendly atmosphere and great food.
