Crickhowell Open Studios

Supporting artists across the region, the Crickhowell Open Studios Weekend showcases the talent and creative lives of the artists who live and work in the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. Unfortunately what would have been the twelfth  year of the event saw its cancellation  in 2020 as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic, Unfortunatly  the difficult decision had to be made to cancel  the event for the second time in 2021.

In 2022 the late May Bank Holiday will move to June 2 to make it a four-day weekend running from Thursday, June 2, to Sunday, June 5 to mark the  Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Our hope is that it will not only be a festive occasion for the area, but also a celebration of art, which has brought solace to so many people of all ages during the Pandemic. The organising team look forward to the trail of  Open Studios and Galleries once again  championing and celebrating locally based artists and their work during 2022  affording visitors the opportunity to explore and enjoy the beautiful Brecon Beacons and surrounding countryside whilst visiting the studios of some of the area's exceptional artists.

Please contact the Open Studio Coordinator, Suzette Pratten at the oriel CRiC gallery, if you would like any further information or would like to be added to the mailing list to receive a printed guide to the weekend. Applications by artists/groups to participate annually close mid February.
