Crickhowell and District Community Partnership
The objects of the Company are to carry on activities which benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) to provide community based facilities and services for the inhabitants of Crickhowell and surrounding communities through the provision of sport, leisure, community focused activities and life long learning ,to promote health and well being whatever ability .It is a joint community venture involving local clubs, groups, schools and individuals.
The initial project was to work together with the Community centre. The vision was to supply a community resource which can be used all year round by all in the whole community regardless of ability or disability and which will be available evenings, weekends and holidays. The achievement today is new gym facility, an all weather pitch and 3G facility in Crickhowell these are all now available through the Crickhowell Community Sports centre.
We are working with the Library community garden friends to maintain and improve that area.
We also work with the Brookfields volunteers who take care of neglected areas of the town and maintain the planters at the entrance to Crickhowell.
Any proposals are welcome and new members to continue any future collaborations or projects.
