Peak Cymru
Peak Cymru is a thriving independent arts organisation working in the Welsh Black Mountains and the surrounding region, encompassing the landscapes and communities of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, Vale of Usk and the Valleys. We collaborate with young people, artists and intergenerational local people to make, experiment and explore how to live well. We work from two bases: The Old School, Crickhowell comprising dedicated art studio, kitchen, offices, garden, pottery room and kiln; project spaces located at Platfform 2, Abergavenny Railway Station.
Our vision is that creative practice is part of everyday life, positively impacting the wellbeing and futures of rural Wales. We nurture long-term relationships and programmes with those taking part and close partnerships with cross-sector organisations who share our goals. We work with practitioners whose processes, knowledge and/or lived experiences equip them to work alongside those taking part.
Our sector-leading, artist-led creative programmes are ambitious, cross-disciplinary and contemporary. We particularly focus on diverse young people aged 14-30 years old facing rural isolation and participation barriers: poor mental health, neurodivergence, socio-economic challenge, and lack of access to education or training. Underpinning our core young peoples’ programmes, we offer creative opportunities to local intergenerational participants facing similar challenges.

Crickhowell Choral Society
The Crickhowell Choral Society is a mixed choir of approximately 60 voices which has been in existence since 1981.
