The Bear Hotel, Crickhowell

The Bear is at the heart of Crickhowell, in every sense of the word.

A former Coaching Inn dating back to 1432, The Bear has been welcoming guests for nearly 600 years and still extends the same warmth, comfort, cosy atmosphere, good food and the wide selection of drinks as ever before.

You can eat and drink among friendly locals in the historic oak-beamed bars, with their wooden floors, and open fires, or you can dine in the more intimate settings of The Bear’s two restaurants. In the summer, they will serve you in their beautiful gardens, surrounded by fragrant flowers and shaded by trees.

Guests can stay in oak-beamed rooms just as stagecoach passengers did or in more modern suites, some with spa baths.

The Bear is at the top of Crickhowell’s famous High Street and there are fabulous walks straight from the door.
