Dine at The Bear, and you can choose from dishes made from the finest ingredients, sourced locally wherever possible, and prepared under the supervision of one of Wales’s great chefs.

The Daily Specials Menu is highly seasonal, offering fresh ingredients as soon as they become available. The bar and restaurant menus contain many regular favourites; hearty staples to satisfy your hunger after a day in the outdoors.

The team in the kitchen is led by Padrig Jones, who trained under Marco Pierre White and Franco Taruschio at The Walnut Tree near Abergavenny. With family, he ran Le Gallois in Cardiff, which became ‘Welsh Restaurant of The Year’ and won 2 AA Rosettes.

You can choose to eat amongst the chatter and laughter of The Bear’s oak-beamed bars, or in the more sedate surroundings of their two restaurants. In the summertime, you can dine surrounded by the colour and fragrance of The Bear’s flower gardens.

Please call The Bear on 01873 810408 to book or visit their website see sample menus and times of service.
