The view of the terrace from the West

Gliffaes makes the ideal base for you to explore this magic part of the Brecon Beacons National Park, South Wales. Winter can be a wonderful time to get out into the countryside and the variety of walking in the hills around the hotel will keep you occupied for sometime!

Alternatively, you may wish for nothing more than a lazy lunch in the sunny conservatory with a bottle of wine, followed by a walk along the river and afternoon tea. Then round off the day with a drink by the fire, great dinner and early bed; heaven. Accommodation

Gliffaes has 23 bedrooms, all are individually decorated and furnished and all have private bathrooms, a number of which are twin bedded.

The rooms are priced according to size and view, the best rooms all have spectacular views across the Usk valley, while the others all look over our magnificent grounds.

Fishing – the Gliffaes fishing on the Usk is divided into two stretches. The house itself overlooks one mile of left bank water divided into three beats, while two and a quarter miles further upstream is another three quarters of a mile including both banks known as Llandetty, each bank being a separate beat.
