A superbly restored, luxurious and elegant Grade II listed Georgian town house, ideally located in Crickhowell for fishing, canoeing, climbing, golf, hang gliding, horse riding and mountain biking. Part of this large family house used to be the old Hancock’s brewery. Just a walk across the road to the River Usk waterside meadows.

Sleeps 8/9 – 2 Super King-Size Rooms, 2 King-Size Rooms

With its heavy oak beams, the beautiful kitchen is in the basement of the house, which has very cleverly been opened up to ensure there is plenty of light with a glass screen and a flight of steps down. There is a pretty small featured alcove used for storage over 200 years ago.

The kitchen has the original flagstone floors but with underfloor heating – ensuring this is always a warm, welcoming and sociable room to gather around the long table at meal times. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to be able to cook a special meal for a group of friends or family; an electric double oven range cooker with a gas hob, a large “American style” fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, etc.

At the back of the kitchen there is another little snug with an air hockey table for children – this is always very popular with guests. A utility room outside with washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside there is a separate outside toilet and large bike shed, a small garden with garden terrace, lawn equipped with patio furniture and a BBQ

There are two sitting rooms on the ground floor both with beautiful, original, wide dark oak floor- boards giving the house a feeling of warmth and the fine old period of the property.

The first sitting room has a wood burning stove, sofas and chairs and a window looking out down the garden to the hills beyond. TV with Freesat & a DVD. The second sitting room again with comfortable sofas and chairs, a lovely persian rug and a fine “featured” Georgian Fireplace, TV with Freesat.

Additionally there is a downstairs cloakroom with a toilet and hand basin.

Up a flight of oak stairs to two very spacious and luxurious bedrooms and a bathroom:

Bedroom 1: A King-Size bed

Bedroom 2: A King-Size bed

Family Bathroom with a roll top bath, a hand held shower over the bath, hand basin and toilet. Up a further flight of stairs to another two superb bedrooms with the most gorgeous VIEWS over the roof tops of Crickhowell towards the Black Mountains and down The Usk Valley.

Bedroom 3: A bedroom with a Super King-Size bed and views up the Usk Valley and beyond. The views here are truly lovely to wake-up to.

Bedroom 4: A bedroom with a Super King-Size bed. There is also a single bed and on the floor a lovely Persian rug

Bathroom – a lovely bright and airy shower room with a large shower, hand basin and toilet.
