Hoop with monogram ‘S’ and stump work embroidered beetle
11cm diameter
About | Textile artist Ann Notley uses stump work embroidery to re-create in stitch the abundance of wildflowers and insects that can be found where she lives, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The stitched figures are raised from the surface of the work to form a three-dimensional effect. With the support of the Jean Williams Foundation, Ann welcomes those interested in the art of hand embroidery to regular workshops in the CRiC conference room on Friday afternoons.
